Evaluation of the scientific productions of E-learning researchers in the Science Direct citation system during the years 2000-2022

2. E-learning has grown tremendously today, also the number of its articles has grown dramatically, the purpose of this research is to review and analyze articles related to this field. The research method is descriptive-applied, and the research area includes all the articles on e-learning that were indexed in the Science Direct citation database from 2000 to 2022, and after filtering them, 17323 of them were analyzed with the help of Excel and VOS Viewer software. The research results show that the number of articles has an upward trend and 2021 had the largest share in the number of articles. Also, research articles (12,256), Journal Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences (1,670), and scientific fields of social sciences (6,255) were ranked first. 12 clusters were identified that the topics of internet, distance education, knowledge management, computer communication, collaborative learning, and learning strategy are very trendy and also Previous in the field of E-learning and subjects: gamification, Covid-19, artificial intelligence, Deep learning, systematic review, and online learning are new in the field of E-learning.
